Pediatric Tooth Extractions

When childrens’ teeth become badly damaged or do not develop properly, extraction is sometimes the best option for restoring optimal dental health and structure. Our dentists are experienced in working with children, and they offer a gentle, compassionate touch during all pediatric procedures. Pediatric tooth extractions can be combined with effective sedation techniques and local anesthetic to keep kids comfortable and relaxed throughout treatment.

Tooth Extractions

If severe trauma, decay, crowding, periodontal disease, or another dental condition is jeopardizing the health of your natural teeth, our dentists can perform tooth extractions when the circumstances demand it. Our team will do everything possible to maintain your natural smile; however, in some cases, extraction cannot be avoided. We perform all types of tooth extractions—from simple to complex tooth removal procedures—and offer various levels of sedation along with local anesthetics for your comfort during the process.

Wisdom Teeth Removal

Although not every individual requires wisdom tooth removal, most people eventually need to have at least one extracted. There are many reasons why wisdom teeth need to be extracted and the specific circumstances of your case will depend on the amount of room you have in your mouth to accommodate wisdom teeth, how many wisdom teeth you have, the manner in which your wisdom teeth are developing and/or erupting, and any uncomfortable/problematic symptoms or complications you may be experiencing. As with any tooth extraction, wisdom tooth removal can be a simple process or a more complex surgical procedure. You can rest assured that our dentists are highly experienced in wisdom tooth extraction, as well as sedation techniques, and can provide you with the highest-quality care no matter what your unique situation demands.

Frenectomy Surgery

Frenectomy surgery is a procedure which releases bands of connective tissue in the mouth that may be preventing proper tongue movement (lingual frenum)—a condition referred to as “tongue-tie”—or obstructing the gumline and/or creating unwanted space between the front teeth (labial frenum). Most often, frenectomy surgery is performed for children who are experiencing difficulties related to problematic connective tissue, such as issues with speaking and nursing, or challenges related to oral hygiene and orthodontic concerns. Our dentists use the latest dental laser technology to perform frenectomy surgery, which provides greater precision and leads to better outcomes, enhanced patient comfort, and faster recoveries than traditional surgical methods.

Gum Grafting

Gingival grafting procedures harvest soft tissue from within the mouth (usually the palate) to transfer to areas of the gumline that require additional tissue coverage. The grafts can serve to protect the teeth, minimize tooth sensitivity, and improve aesthetics. Typically, gum grafting procedures are performed to treat areas of gingival recession, though these techniques may also be employed in cases of oral trauma. Our dentists utilize state-of-the-art dental lasers to perform gum grafts to minimize bleeding, swelling, and discomfort during treatment. Laser dentistry can also provide a faster, more comfortable post-surgical recovery.

Bone Grafting

Bone grafting procedures are performed to restore and rebuild jawbone structure that has been damaged or destroyed by a variety of causes. Typically, bone grafting surgery is recommended when tooth loss is imminent or there is not enough jawbone structure to adequately support a dental implant. Bone tissue may be synthetic, harvested from your own body, or provided from a donor source. The bone grafting method used for your procedure will depend on your unique needs and goals, and our dentists will utilize the most advanced method for performing your surgery. Laser dentistry techniques are frequently employed during bone grafting to enhance precision, minimize pre- and post-operative discomfort, and speed recovery.

Ridge Augmentation Surgery

When bone loss diminishes the bony ridge of the jawbone, ridge augmentation bone grafts can restore healthy bone volume and structure for added width. Ideally, following healing, the expanded jawbone ridge can then properly support and fuse with dental implants for long-term success.

Sinus Lift Surgery

Sinus lift surgery, also called sinus augmentation, is a procedure designed to rebuild diminished structure in the upper jawbone caused by tooth loss and/or periodontal disease. This process actually lifts the sinus cavity by adding bone density where it is needed, so that dental implants can be properly supported in the upper jaw.

Implant Placement Surgery

The surgical placement of dental implants is the most advanced method of tooth replacement available. The process requires comprehensive evaluation, precise planning, and exact surgical execution to perform properly. During the procedure, titanium dental implants are placed within the jawbone in order to support and secure a variety of different implant restorations— including single implant crowns, bridges, and full arch dentures. Our experienced dentists perform the full range of implant placement techniques and every procedure is highly customized to provide patients with optimal tooth replacement results.

Oral Pathology & Biopsies

When irregular lesions are detected in your mouth during routine dental exams, our dentists waste no time performing diagnostic testing to identify any potential oral pathology that could be threatening your health. Detecting oral cancer and other forms of pathology early is the key to successful treatment, and you can expect that any necessary biopsies will be completed swiftly to get the important answers you need about your health.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

The use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) during oral surgeries allows our dentists to expedite successful healing. PRP is collected from a patient’s own purified blood sample and is then injected into the treated area to boost the presence of regenerative growth factors that support optimal healing. This state-of-the-art technique is used effectively in many areas of medicine, and we are proud to offer this revolutionary form of treatment to our patients.
