How Do Invisalign Clear Braces Work?
Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using custom-made aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth.
These discreet and comfortable clear aligners give you the freedom to remove your trays in order to enjoy a meal and the foods you love. You can take them out for a special occasion and in order to clean your teeth effectively while in treatment.
Once Dr. Abel determines that you are a good candidate for Invisalign®, she will create a series of clear teeth aligners that are so discreet, they practically appear invisible on the smile. Typically, each set of these clear braces is worn for about 2 weeks before being traded in for a new, more snugger-fitting clear aligner.
On average, Invisalign treatment takes just 12 to 18 months to complete, though you can expect to see straighter teeth within your first few weeks!
